Tucked away in Broadmarsh shopping centre, 2 Magpies Design is a treasure trove full of colour. Founded by Clare, a former makeup artist with a passion for interior design, this independent gives a new lease of life to your neglected and forgotten furniture.
The story starts with an old table, purchased from Oxfam for a mere £10. With a little bit of TLC and creativity, Clare was able to give bring the table back to life and it was quickly snatched up on Etsy. From there, the passion grew and eventually, 2 Magpies Design was born in April 2018.
2 Magpies Design is an interior retail store, stocking various treasures from different suppliers. Ensuring she stays true to the roots of her passion, Clare still sells her own original designs and offers upcycling services to anyone who is keen to revive ageing furniture and bring some colour into their home.
Regularly visiting auctions, Clare ensures her store keeps up to date with the trends and adds new staple pieces constantly to shop floor. It was important for 2 Magpies Design to steer clear of neutrals and go after those bright colours that we are often terrified of.
Clare encourages her customers to rock the boat and not be afraid to get a little quirky when it comes to interiors. 2 Magpies Design is all about encouraging people to be courageous and have the confidence to fill your home full of beautiful, bright treasures. After all, you’ll never run out of conversation to have with guests!
